Live-Classrooms via Edusat
Edusat was launched as part of ISRO's continuing mission to carry out missions that have a positive impact on the citizens of India.
One of the first applications of this sat was enabled from January 1, 2008. In collaboration with IIT-Bombay, ISRO has made it possible to broadcast lectures via Edusat. What's different?
The classes that will take place including software engineering, information systems, computation fluid
dynamics, embedded systems, instrumentation and process control and fibre optics
communication will all take place like a real class. The class will be delivered in a specially constructed classroom on-campus in IIT-B. The lectures will be transmitted via Edusat and can be received at various engineering colleges across the country using a special receiver device. The device also enables students to ask their doubts and ask them clarified in real time. So, this is live and virtual expanded classroom with students getting the best technical education that this country has to offer.
